THE HAPPINESS ENGINEER
I’m on a mission and I’d love you to join me
Hello. I’m Dr Mark Williamson, co-founder and Director of Action for Happiness and author of Make Life Happier. I’m on a mission to make life happier for everyone - not based on wishful thinking but on many years of research, hard work and trying things out in the real world.

I’m Not A Guru. I’m a Happiness Engineer
My mission is to help people apply the science of wellbeing in their everyday lives. My unique perspective combines…
-
Over the last 15 years I’ve met and worked with a huge range of experts on happiness and wellbeing, from teachers like the Dalai Lama to leading psychologists, neuroscientists, economists and behavioural scientists.
-
Having scientific evidence is a great starting point, but we need to apply these ideas in the messy reality of daily life. So I’ve worked with many thousands of people to try out different actions in their own lives and communities.
-
I’ve seen which actions really make a meaningful difference, not just for our own happiness but for our collective wellbeing: in organisations, communities and beyond. And I’ve helped people find ways to make these habits last.
